Our dance school focuses on the art of belly dance, however we also offer various dance and fitness related workshops and classes primarily geared towards women of all shapes, sizes and ages. Our classes provide fun, easy, experience for body, mind & soul.
Belly Dancing puts an end to the boredom and suffering that’s frequently experienced with exercise.
It is an energizing total body workout, which is safe, and geared towards women of all ages and body types. Depending on age and stamina one can burn three to four hundred calories in an hour. Belly Dancing is a low impact, safe workout due to its natural and sensual movements. We focus on the arms and shoulders, neck, abdominal muscles, back and spine, hips, pelvis and buttocks.
Belly dance attire and costumes are recommended, but students can also wear the same type of outfit that you’d wear for yoga or Zumba. Many of our students choose to wear our chiffon skirts. Though not required, some are choreographies that we teach also use a veil. Chiffon skirt and veil sets are are available here. We also recommend wearing a hip scarf – we have some available on site in our boutique.
